If you are wondering what's on in Ibiza this week, the answer is: plenty, and most of it is free. October is the island's quiet, golden stretch, when the season winds down, the light turns honey-coloured and the calendar fills with salt fairs, jazz nights, village fiestas and wellness retreats. Here is your guide to what's on in Ibiza from today, Wednesday 14 October, to Wednesday 21 October 2026.
Today and Thursday: Markets, Boat Days and Sunset Sessions
Start the week at the Hippy Market Punta Arabí in Es Canar, which runs every Wednesday from 10:00 to 18:00 and is free to enter. It is the island's biggest and oldest hippy market, with crafts, fashion, music and plenty of hippie atmosphere. If you would rather skip the drive, the shuttle ferry between Ibiza Town, Santa Eulària and Es Canar (from around €9) drops you close by, with the east coast as your view.
Prefer the sea? Mid-October is a lovely time for a boat day. The Beach Hopper (10:15–15:15, from €30) moves you between coves with swim stops, while Capitan Nemo's San Antonio to Es Vedrà trip (10:00–14:00, from €23) passes Cala Bassa, Cala Conta and Cala Vadella before reaching the famous rock. For something calmer, the Brunch on the Boat from Ulises Cat (13:00–16:00, €100) trades party music for a spread on deck.
On Thursday 15 October the island turns to its evening sounds:
- Café del Mar Sunset Session #197 (from 18:00, free) in Sant Antoni, still the original Ibiza sunset ritual, with ambient and Balearic sounds as the sun drops.
- Eribertho Cruz at Chiringuito Cala Escondida (18:30, free), live Cuban music on a sand stage at the southern end of Platja d'en Bossa.
- Dea Tanit at Can Jordi Blues Station (19:00, free), the all-female rock, blues, soul and funk quintet back for its Thursday slot.
- Hernán Cattáneo at Akasha (from 19:00, from €25), an extended, journey-style set moving from the Las Dalias garden into the club.
- Zazú Ibiza Closing Party with DJ Romayor (from 13:00, free), a beachfront send-off for the 2026 season at Playa d'en Bossa.
Es Cubells Fiestas: A Village on a Cliff
One of the most atmospheric things on the calendar is the Festes de Santa Teresa in Es Cubells, with the main day on Thursday 15 October. The village sits on a 120-metre cliff above the sea, with views to Formentera. A solemn mass is held at 19:00, and at the same hour "Hoy puede ser un gran día", a free tribute to Joan Manuel Serrat by singer-guitarist Sergi Nebot, takes place in the Plaça des Cubells. Arrive early, bring a jumper for the cliff-top breeze, and stay for the village atmosphere that no beach club can replicate.
Jazz Point Ibiza: Four Days at The Standard
Jazz Point Ibiza runs from 15 to 18 October exclusively at The Standard, Ibiza, in the heart of Ibiza Town. The opening night, "A Taste of All Festival Artists", starts at 21:00 in JARA and is listed as free. It is a smart way to sample the whole line-up before choosing which sets to return for. Check the festival programme for timings across the four days, as individual sessions may vary.
Friday to Sunday: The Salt Fair, Wellness Weekend and a Hill Climb
The weekend of 16–18 October is the busiest of the month, so plan ahead.
Fira de la Sal (Ibiza Salt Fair). The tenth edition takes over Sant Jordi and the Ses Salines natural park from 16 to 18 October. Expect demonstrations of the traditional salt harvest, tastings, a market and guided activities, all free. It is the perfect excuse to see the salt pans in their autumn light; pair it with a walk along the nearby coast and a long lunch in Sant Jordi.
Ibiza Wellness Weekend (7th edition). Running 16–18 October across Sant Joan de Labritja and Santa Eulària, this is one of Spain's largest wellness gatherings, with tickets from around €70. If you want something lighter on the wallet, Petunia Ibiza's Mañanas de Bienestar at Cala Carbó (15–17 October, from €20) offers morning yoga, animal flow and sound healing in a hotel surrounded by nature.
Pujada a Sa Cala. Motorsport fans can watch the annual hill climb on the winding roads towards Cala Sant Vicent, with practice runs followed by the main races, free to spectate.
Friday market and art. The Mercat de Sa Cooperativa in Santa Eulària sells local fruit, vegetables, cheese, wine and crafts from 09:00. Art lovers can also see Stefan Brüggemann's "Cel d'Or" at the Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa (MACE), open from 10:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Saturday 17 October: Markets, Old Town and Farm Life
Saturdays are made for market hopping. The Sant Jordi flea market (from 08:00) is the island's most authentic rastro, with second-hand finds, vintage clothes and antiques. At 10:00, Las Dalias Hippy Market, going strong since 1985, offers fashion, crafts and live music. If you prefer the countryside, Juntos Farm hosts its Saturday workshops and community day, and in Ibiza Town the theatrical visit to Dalt Vila brings the Renaissance old town to life. Across the water, Formentera hosts the BTT La Mola mountain-bike event and BTT Kids on 17 and 18 October.
Practical Tips for the Week
- Check times before you go. Many October events are one-offs or run reduced hours. Confirm details on each event page at Ibiza Calendar.
- Dress in layers. Sunsets are gorgeous but evenings are cooler, especially in cliff-top villages like Es Cubells.
- Book boats early on weekends. Sailings run, but the popular daytime trips fill up.
- Use the free options. From sunset sessions to the Salt Fair, a large share of this week's best plans cost nothing.
- Mix coast and culture. A morning at a market, an afternoon on the water and an evening of live music is a perfectly balanced Ibiza day in October.
The season may be winding down, but this week proves the island is far from asleep. Browse the full listings on Ibiza Calendar, save your favourites and make the most of what's on in Ibiza before the winter hush settles in.
